Short Summaries

Episode 9: Heartless Checkmate
Maron meets a photographer named Saegusa Yasushi, only to find the same day that he has been possessed by a demon! When she goes to checkmate the demon in his house, she finds that his walls are plastered with pictures upon pictures... with no demon in sight.

However, Sinbad crashes in and sets all the pictures on fire to find the demon. To both the thieves' surprise, the demon has actually possessed Saegusa's camera.. which earns Sinbad strong berating from Jeanne for burning his pictures. But he is unscathed, and only tells her angrily that it is his mission to checkmate in any way he can.

He questions her competence, and leaves an extremely infuriated Jeanne at the scene.
